Introduction Text I am a single mom of a 7 year old boy. He is highly intelligent and very active, sometimes he is hard to keep up with! I have been single again for 6 years now and find that I really enjoy being single. I can spend my time doing things that interest me and my son instead of everyone else. I really enjoy working in the garden now that I have a house. I have flowers everywhere, a vegetable garden and an herb garden. They taste even better than fresh from farmers market when I grow them myself. I find that I even enjoy mowing the grass! I want to lose some weight because I am tired of being so out of breath and exhausted by working in the garden or mowing the grass, and especially when trying to keep up with my son and my niece that I babysit for in the evenings.

I want to be able to play with my son and niece in the backyard and not be worn out in 10 minutes. I really want to be satisfied with my body and be comfortable enough with myself that I am not embarrassed when I am in my bathing suit.

My goal is to increase protien and decrease some of the carbohydrates, especially the bad ones, that have ruled my meals for years. I plan to eat good carbohydrates and skip the cake and cookies, and include lean protien which I am really bad about eating-would rather have pasta and pizza everyday!

I am a single mom living in IL.

I love to garden, read and spend my weekends (right now-hope he's home soon!) with my son! I like to read anything, even non-fiction!
