I'm not new to the weight loss scene. Throughout time I have had been in the military, had relationship changes, job changes, moves across the world and back, moves across the states, children, degrees, more job changes, homes to rent or buy, etc. My weight has fluctuated right along with those life changes. It happens right? It's okay if you pack on that freshman 15 only that was on top of the baby weight. It's okay if you lose some weight and then gain it again because of baby number 2 then life happens you can’t work out, convenience food is consumed because it is easier than cooking. You know how it goes. Life!

But like many of you that are on Spark, having a healthy lifestyle is important. It has to be a priority. Not only does it benefit yourself but it benefits everyone in your life and those around you, those total strangers as well. I’m sure I’m not the only one that watches the Biggest Loser for inspiration or reads many of the blogs here on Spark for that little bit of inspiration or that tangible thing in common that helps us get through the rough times. Most importantly I’m out here to help myself see that not only can I become a healthy, well-rounded person but I’m totally worth the journey too!

I’m a determined person. I research, analyze and plan an attack but I’m also a person that struggles with self-worthiness daily. I’m a person that will let life circumstances and emotion take over that determination until it squashes me into a speck of dust and I give up. But today, I’m taking a stand against those circumstances that emotion and I’m standing up for myself. I’m becoming that determined woman that can do everything and anything that she deems to do or be. My journey may not be perfect but it is a journey that I will be proud of and if by chance my journey helps you along the way than I have succeeded even more. Because we are totally worth every step in this journey of becoming a healthy individual!

    Christy!! SO excited to hear from you my distinguished "Redman Triathlete" friend...am I right?!!! I have GOT to hear how all that went and what you are up to...you better get on that update ; D I would love to meet up....we need to make that happen. Well....I am in the final stages of committing to the full at OKCMM this year. I'm training and am waiting to make the financial commitment until about 12 miles and see how my knees are feeling....I'm lighter now than I've ever been in a race...but still awful heavy to be hauling it 26.2....I know I can do it...I think,lol.....I sure have the want to covered. Praying about it. Let me know what you think about Made to Crave...obviously by my page...I screamingly recommend it....I actually got a little wild(way out of my comfy box here) and led the study at my church....it was amazing. Don't be skeered....do it! ; D Ok.....so great to see you back around...can't wait to hear more!

    emoticon Riding by to check on you. Lots of bike racing here but no triathlons....no working pools in the area and I just can't compete if there is no place to practice swimming. Looks as though you have been busy. Congrats on the ironman!

    Hi There...

    I read your blog but I cannot comment there so I figured that I would comment here ;)

    Firstly - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts & prayers to you & your family during this difficult time.

    I cannot believe that your race is around the corner, that is awesome & you sound very prepared for it which is great. I hear you on the kid sports thing, my youngest is doing soccer (although way less competitive than your daughter's because he's 4 & has the attention span of a pigeon), my oldest has football which is THE most time consuming sport EVER! So every Saturday & Sunday there are games & then practices sprinkled throughout the week. Therefore my racing season is going to have to wind down after this month because they are always during these times.

    To answer your questions on continuous training - I would say...um, no. I don't ever think that it stops but I think that it is a good thing, for people like me anyway because otherwise I'm not too sure that I would keep motivated with putting in consistent workouts. I only started racing 2 years ago & so far this has been the only thing that has stuck so that I have some consistency.

    Well Happy Training - can't wait to hear about your race!
