This journey started out with me wanting to lose my pregnancy weight and has evolved to a lifestyle change. I want much more than a diet, I want to be healthy.

My Story

Until college I was always able to maintain my weight with little to no effort. I wasn't skinny but I was within a normal weight range. Once I started college I gained more than the "freshmen 15", however I was still within a normal weight range. In 2005, I found out I was pregnant with my first son, Jonah. For some reason I felt that pregnancy gave me a reason to eat what ever I wanted to. I took the whole 'eating for two' idea to another level. I put on an amazing 80 lbs. at my last weigh in before delivery. Throughout my pregancy I was never really concerned about what the scale said. But that day, when the scale read 235, I could not believe it. With my due date in less than a week I put it to the back of my mind and convinced myself that it was all baby and I would lose it once I delived. That was not the case, over a year later I found myself weighing about 200 lbs. and still telling people that I just had a baby.

In July of 2007, I found out I was pregnant with my second son, Aiden. Still carrying the weight from my first pregnancy I managed to only put on 40 lbs. After delivery I weighed over 200 lbs.

A few months later, I found SPARK. At this point in my life I knew I wanted to lose weight. I had no idea how to do it. I didn't own a scale, measuring tape, gym membership, or the knowledge of calorie counting and eating health. Through Spark and its great members I have learned so much.

Rewards for reaching weight goal -

170 lbs - New runnin shoes (attained 4/18/09)
165 lbs - Exercise clothes (attained 6/7/09)
160 lbs - New summer dresses (attained 7/13/09)
155 lbs - Mini spa day at the Polish Bar (attained early august)
150 lbs - ???

Tracking my nutrition and calorie consuption (1450-1700).

Fitness program 6X/Wk

Cardio 5X a week. Combination running, 30DS, Cardio Max, and BFBM

Strength Training on TU/TH/SA

Fitness Goals:
Complete a marathon
Push Ups
