I am re-inventing my Spark Life, starting March 10, 2008.

I'm using gold stars on my kitchen calendar when I complete my day's workouts. I want to have a star on EVERY day in the month!

I'm focusing on my next "number", in small increments. I have "my number" on my medicine cabinet and on my radio at work.

My Goals:
First BIG Goal:
Remove 10% of my weight - 215 - accomplished 9/29/2008.
Next BIG Goal:
One-derland (199)!
Eventual BIG Goal:
159 healthy, happy pounds

Resolutions I need to remember:
1. Plan my food EVERY day. I'm experimenting with NOT tracking my food, so it's extra important for me to plan.
2. Do 8 Minutes weight training, every day.
3. Walk 30 minutes, every day, using Exerstrider poles. On Saturday & Sunday, walk 60 minutes.
4. Do1-hour workouts Tuesdays and Thursdays after work.


My Program:
I've done this before - I've removed a lot of weight several times in my life. It's important for me to plan my food, usually vegetarian choices. If I don't plan, I overeat.



Personal Information:
I was born in Saint Louis, Missouri. I went away to college and expected I would never live in Saint Louis again. I was "away" for many years - 7 years in Cedar Rapdis, Iowa and 19 years in Lawrenceville, Georgia. My husband was transferred to Saint Louis in 1999, so I'm a born-again Yankee now.
I've been married to John since 1976. We have two fabulous daughters. Our older daughter lives in Pittsburgh, PA. Our younger daughter lives in Athens, GA - she introduced me to SparkPeople.


Other Information:
I want to have more life in my life - I think I'll be more energetic if I remove some excess weight. I want to get all the plus-size clothes out of my closet forever. I want a healthy relationship with food.

    Hey, Nan, it's been a long time - are you still sparkin'? I've been floating along for seven months now, pregnant with my first child. Only 8 weeks from my due date, I can hardly believe it.
