Hi all! My name is Laura. I have been struggling with weight for all my adult life. I was never thin but average in my weight. I liked the way I looked and how I felt. My husband and I were active and did outdoor activities like camping and hunting. Then I had our first child and I couldn't get rid of the weight. That was compounded by my 2nd pregnancy that required me to be on complete bedrest for about 7 of the 9 months of the pregnancy. I lost some weight after I had my 2nd daughter but I could never see any substantial losses. I had a rough 3rd pregnancy and the pounds inched back on.

Since then I have been feeling overwhelmed with my weight. I look in the mirror and wonder how I ever let myself go like this. My girls deserve more and I want to give them that. I want to be able to take them to the waterpark and not have to worry about people staring at me and wondering if I will fit on the rides. I want to be able to run around and be physically active with my girls without feeling I am going to have a heartattack. I have had enough. I am ready to make the changes I need to in my life to meet these goals. I can always use the support from friends. I hope to be an encourager whenever I can.

My Goals:
My goal is to shed about 100 pounds. I want to look good in a swimsuit and be able to do some physical activities with my kids.


My Program:
I am limited at this time with being able to go to the gym, so I am working out with weights at home. I jog/walk around the roads that circle my neighborhood. It is about 1.2 miles. I am using my wii fit to help with some aerobics as well.
