I am raising two of my grandchildren on my own, run my own business and have struggled with my weight for most of my life. I discovered SparkPeople in June of 2008, and I am thrilled with the program and support. I'm finally doing something for me.
Short Term Goals:
- Lose 5 lbs per month
- Walk 30 minutes per day 5 days a week
- At least 5 strength training exercises 5 days per week
- 8 cups of water per day
- Sleep at least 7 hours per night

I am recording what I eat, staying within the calorie guidelines. I am walking on my treadmill every day and doing strength training exercises every second day. I'm also drinking at least 8 cups of water a day.
