Hi everyone!

Happy Spring! It is time to plant some seeds of good health and water them with good habits.
I am 70 and moved closer to family at the end of October. With the move and other stressors things have gotten way off track. SparkPeople to the rescue!

You just made my day by stopping by. Spark Friends are the best!

Fitness Minutes: 125,456

My Goals:
First I want to lose 10 pounds and get back to my pre quarantine weight. These last few months have been rough but I need to get it in gear. I have a larger weight loss goal but baby steps.

My Program:
Working on more strength training this time around.
I am averaging less steps these past few months because of chronic bursitis.
I also found a program online that one of my team mates suggested. Pahla B Fitness. So I am doing that and now mixing in some Leslie Sansone walks. It is amazing what having internet can do for finding things you didn't know existed. I will ride my recumbent bike as well. I am going to eat more whole foods, less packaged things.

I have pretty much adopted NEE or No Evening Eating and that really has helped my blood sugar levels.

Personal Information:
I have been on SparkPeople since 2006 and will always be a Firecracker although I am a Phoenix too. I am originally from Baltimore, MD and now back again after spending about 15 years in WV. My 2 children are grown, My daughter lives about 30 minutes away now and my son is in Texas. Have not been able to be with family much because of the virus, just waiting for this to pass as all things do. Still working through the loss of my husband, I think I buried a lot of feeling with food while getting our place ready to sell, packing up, moving and buying a new place. Thanks to a Spark Friend for telling me to take the time I need for me.

Other Information:
I need to get better at tracking. I have saved a lot of recipes here. I have had a Fitbit since 2010. I love Walk It Out on my Wii, still enjoy looking for the rainbow! Use to enjoy camping and fishing with my husband but have not had the time lately since he passed away. I am sure he is reeling in those trout in Heaven. Sold the Rpod, but kept the fishing rods!
