I like my hair long too. That was taken in 2008 during my Last Great Weight Loss. Just before yesterday's hair cut it was getting back to that length again, but was very dry and got matted at the back (probably from swimming) so I thought i'd cut it for now.
As I mentioned to someone else, I've been trimming my hair myself for some years and haven't really cared how it looked. Then last week I heard a sneaky whisper as I left the bathroom - so quiet I nearly took no notice. But I stopped and recalled it. It said 'You're so fat and ugly you can keep this crappy hair as a reminder of it.' I was PUNISHING myself.

I weighed in with no change this week, (well actually I gained a bit then worked hard to lose it again) but before I get myself too disappointed I remember to tell you that my pants are looser, my eating behaviours are (slowly) improving, my strength time has increased, and my energy levels have doubled. I already feel like a winner!

By the way, thank you, my loudest cheerer, I do so need loud POSITIVE voices right now.

    Ha! I just sparkmailed you!

40 laps in 40 mins - it's a HALF size pool - 25 metres Not so fast as you might think ;-) I work on my stroke strength rather than speed at the moment - I am still so unfit I get puffed with one freestyle lap!

The couch to 10k program is just like the couch to 5k program - where you start REAL slow (walk 4 mins, jog 1 min, x4 - or walk 90 sec, jog 60 secs, x10) I'm doing the second one. - You do that 3 days a week, and each week it slowly changes so at the end of 8 weeks (for a 5k) or about 14 weeks (for a 10k) you are RUNNING BABY! You can stay on any day for as long as you like.

I've always wanted to run 10k regularly, and years ago was doing 5k regularly but never quite made it to 10k. This is my running GOAL!

There are programs for the 5k here on spark, and here is where you can take a look and or print out a 10k one http://completerunning.com/dawn-on-the-run
    /wp-content/trainingplans/13weeks.html

If you have an iPhone there is a number of apps programs there too. I use a free one of those.
