Introduction Text I'm a 40-year-old full-time homemaker and a food allergy parent. I love to cook. I'm teaching my 12-year old daughter some culinary skills. She plans to open up peanut/tree nut allergy-friendly bakery someday. I'm an avid reader and I'm always researching. I have a never-ending quest for knowledge. I'm a mythology buff. I believe that each person must follow his or her own path in this life. I believe every path has value and lessons we can all benefit from learning. As of November, we are also a homeschool family. I'm enjoying the adventure! My health philosophy: This journey is 3 fold -- Mental, physical, and spiritual. To truly change your life -- to be an all-around healthier you -- you must address all three. You have to find your personal balance. Then almost everything can be enjoyed in moderation. I grew up in northeast MS and migrated to west Tn about 16 years ago. I'm married and have 1 daughter. I'm an "allergy parent." My kiddo has a peanut allergy. My husband is diabetic, so I spend a lot of time managing special diets. About 23 years ago I was diagnosed with PTSD and generalized anxiety disorder. These days, with Yoga and meditation, I manage without medication. That's a huge win for me. I'm an avid reader. I'm excited that my kiddo and I can finally share books! Yep I read a lot of YA and "tween" book series.
