I am way less confident in making a transformation then I was in 2011. Since then I have gained 20 pounds. My current weight is around 185 pounds.

I'm hoping to find some spark friends to encourage me as I'm really feeling fat, old and stuck right now.

I'm 48 years old, mother to two teens and an 11 year old. I'm certified as a teacher but have been unable to get a teaching job after taking off ten years to raise kids. I work full time as a paraprofessional (teachers' assistant) to cognitively disabled middle school kids.

We just adopted a ten week old yellow lab puppy to foster/raise to become a guide dog for the blind. She will be returned to the Occupaws organization when she is a year or a year and a half. She's adorable and I will post a picture soon!

I'm not sure of my plan right now, it just hoping for encouragement to get going on something!

My Goals:
I want to:

1. Exercise 5X per week
2. Quit Sugary Coffee Drinks
3. Keep Food Log
4. Get a healthy food relationship
5. Do not stress eat
6. Do not boredom eat
7. Set mini goals
8. Set mini rewards
9. Set big reward for reaching goal weight
10. Make some spark friends
11. Increase flexibility
12. Be able to run intervals on treadmill
13. Love myself (I'm a critic not a fan)
14. Swim, hike, sail, kayak with my family instead of sitting at home hating my weight
15. Camp and bike a lot this summer
16. Add fun exercise into my day, for example: walk dog longer, fun dancing with tap shoes, throw frisbee, badminton, trainer volleyball with kids
17. Love to sweat
18. Wear jeans again (and skinny jeans someday)
19. Only wear stretch clothing to exercise
20. Lose the depression
21. Wear a belt again
22. Lose the excuses
23. Wear fun boots again.
24. Wear a skirt to church
25. Be a success


My Program:
1. Brisk walking on incline treadmill 20-40 min per day
2. Food log
3. Plan meals ahead
4. No food is bad, dirty or off limits but be aware of calories and realize If I spend too many on certain foods, I will not have enough left over to fill me up or give me energy
5. Focus on fiber rich and whole foods
6. Two free meals per week: I can eat anything I want
7.Add extra exercise each day
8. Exercise tracker
9. Post everything on spark page for accountability
10. Laugh, have fun and trust God! :0)



Personal Information:
I'm from Wisconsin, a teacher currently employed as an assistant teacher. I'm 48, and I have three kids and am happily married. I love photography and also have a degree in Photojournalism. I'm a Christian and praying that with the help of Spark friends, I will lose the weight forever this time! :0)


Other Information:
I collect BJD dolls, love dogs and photography. I don't like to cook or clean but wish I did, lol! :0)
