Hi, my name is Mo. I am doing this again. I had lost quite a bit of weight, joined a roller derby team, and was feeling great. Well, I tore up my knees playing derby and spent some time recuperating. I had knee surgery last November but it didn't do a whole lot to improve my knee. I am still having problems with pain and limping. I bike and walk when I can. I can't wait for the pool to be warm enough to swim. I have sleeve gastric bypass scheduled on April 18th. I'm already on the liver shrinking diet. Let me tell you 600-800 calories a day sucks. It will be worth it in the end though. My total weight loss goal is 105 pounds. I don't want to be skinny. I want to be healthy. A size 12 is perfectly acceptable for me.

My Goals:
3 cardio sessions per week, 8 glasses of water a day, work on my upper body strength, and to be able to run again.


My Program:
My Gf and I just joined LA fitness. We both enjoyed the water aerobics class and will be doing that several times a week. We will be working up to classes depending on my knees. I will be doing some strength training but I need some good ideas on how to do that and protect my knees.



Personal Information:
I'm 29 and live near the mall in Winston Salem. My GF and I have 6 critters: 2 dogs, 2 cats, a bunny, and a bearded dragon. I am currently not working so that I can get a knee surgery taken care of and focus on getting healthy. I am a full-time student.

    Hi. I am in Texas, not Winston-Salem but I know there is a walking club in your area if you are interested in participating in local events on a regular basis. I do similar walks every weekend. We are not "fund raising" clubs, we are for fun, fitness and fellowship. Our clubs are family oriented and most events are baby stroller, and pet friendly.
