Not necessarily, you. Likely it is the way you approached losing weight. Like many here (myself included) I could go on a diet and lose weight, but I couldn't maintain. It finally dawned on me that it was the mere fact of "going on a diet" that derailed me because I was slavish in following whatever diet I was on and couldn't wait to reach my goal weight so i could go off the diet. Some part of me knew that I couldn't go back to my old ways, but another party just didn't buy it.

This time I didn't go on a diet. Rather I decided that I'd choose to eat healthy most of the time, would track my food and stay at a reasonable calorie goal. At 222 lbs I set a 2,000 cals/day goal. That was a lot less than I'd been eating and I wasn't hungry. At first I didn't exercise; just found opportunities to move more.

You can check out my page to read what worked for me. You might want to join the small changes challenge on Spark. Their challenges are great and you get a daily tip for the month.

Getting active here is also a great idea. Lots of support you can give and get.
