My 51 and a married mom of 3. My kids are all grown now and my husband and I are finally seeing some time alone together. He is a saint, we've been married 6 years. He raised his own 3 kids and stepped into my life and helped me finish with my own 3. He deserves the life with me we both planned for. Travelling, a vacation property in the country, many sunsets and sunrises on the beach and to see this country on car trips. He's from London and is so amazed at all the varying scenery available to us here.

Last year I had a preventative mastectomy and DIEP flap reconstruction due to a genetic mutation. It was a good decision and worth the recovery and some scars. In a few months I will get to have my revision surgery to help clean up my scars and give my abdomen a normal shape again. I'm working on losing weight ahead of surgery to maximize my results.

My Goals:
I miss having my old energy. I always looked forward to and envisioned this latter part of my as being full of adventure, travel and fun and it seems I forget to get ready for it. I'm starting now so my future really is full of all the things I've been working for.

My Program:
Food tracking is so important for me. I overall eat fairly healthy but I'm a grazer if left unchecked. A tracker makes me more accountable for my actual habits instead of my perceived ones. I actually have the thought of "I need to track this if I put it in my mouth", often I decide not to put it in my mouth LOL I also love to cook and bake and I've been working to rehab recipes to be lower calorie and more nutrient dense. My InstantPot has been awesome at turning out healthy soups and bulk meal prepping for the week.

Personal Information:
I will be 52 in a few months. My three kids are grown now, 27, 21 and 18. My youngest will be heading off to Texas Tech this fall and my husband and I will finally have the house to ourselves. Funny enough I don't feel sad, I'm really looking forward to it. My oldest is married and a mom and living her life. My middle is finally on her own learning what she needs to (I always worry for this one but I have faith in her) and my youngest is about to start off on his dream and I'm so excited for all of them. It's a good place to be.
