I have always struggled with weight, for as long as I can remember. My mother was overweight and my father was no small fry! I have done every kind of fad diet there is from not eating at all, to the Atkins, to weight watchers, to whatever other diet that may have crossed my path! I got pregnant at a very young age, I started at the 135, and by the end of the pregnancy I weighed 198!! I had toxemia so a lot of that was water weight, but, you know, weight is weight! I did get all my weight off by walking every night and the great Atkins diet! One year later I met my husband and the pounds started creeping back on, why you ask?? Well my husband will not eat anything but meat, corn, potatoes, and bread! Oh and any dessert you put in front of him, unless it has a fruit in it. Three years later I was about 185 and I got pregnant with my second child, and I got up to about 215! I almost lost all this baby weight and got back down to about 195, and then almost two years later I got pregnant again with my third child! With this baby I got back up to about 220, and now about a year later I am back down to about 185, but need to be down to about 135!!!

So here is my plan: I will only eat 1,000 calories per day and only 50 carbs per day during the week (I know it does not sound healthy, but neither does being 185!!), and then on the weekends I am going to eat what I want to eat, but try to be smarter about it and about how much I eat. So if we go to have pizza, I will eat the pizza, I will just try to eat a salad before the pizza, and then only eat 1 piece of pizza, that sounds do-able, right?? Surely I can be tough on myself during the week if I know that I can let loose a little on the weekends, and I won’t feel bad about breaking my diet if it is in my diet to eat, so I think this just may work!!
