Hi! Thanks for stopping by. So, I am wondering where I should start. Let's see. I am 23 and 5'7" and currently weigh whatever you see on my ticker. :)

I have always been 'fat'. I don't remember a time when I wasn't overweight. And I always knew it. I was never called any names or teased for it though(except 2-3 stray incidents). I guess probably that's why I never tried to change it. I am very confident in my skin and an achiever in all aspects of life. I know this sounds really stuck up but I have to mention this. You will achieve only when you have the confidence. I always believe in myself when I get on to a task. I believed that I didn't need to lose weight and I didn't. I knew I was 'hot' even when I was 213lbs and I know I am hot now. The problem came during this temple visit when I almost died after climbing up some 50 or so steps.

I remember looking around and being amazed at how I was the only one looking ready to faint. I was surprised because I am a basketball player. No, I WAS a basketball player. And then I quit. And started smoking. And became a lazy ball with zero stamina.

That is when I woke up. I also realized that I have history of heart diseases in my family and I needed to make some changes NOW, before it is too late. And you can see where I am now.

I believe in myself. I know I will lose this weight. I will NOT be at high risk to heart diseases and such. I will not have to ask people to wait up for me during any such temple trips. I will gain my stamina back. Ofcourse, now that we're losing weight for the health benefits, I don't mind finally wearing an empire waist dress!

Fitness Goal - To run a 10k. I'll reward myself with new running shoes once I reach this goal.

Other milestones:

07/16/08 - An old friend who saw me after an year today commented that I have lost a 'little' weight. This is awesome because I think I was about the same weight last year as I am now. Maybe this means I have lesser body fat this time around?

07/22/08 - Wore my '2 sizes too small' jeans to a birthday party today and they looked fab!

07/25/08 - Completed C25K today

08/21/08 - Holy crap! 175lbs. I was 179lbs when I was 15. Today is the lightest day of my adult life so far.

09/27/08 - Ran my first 5k today

01/01/09 - Back on track, back on SP :)

~ Wed: 30 min run
~ Thurs: Swimming + 60 min ST
~ Fri: 30 min run
~ Sat: Swimming + 60 min ST
~ Sun: 30 min run

I also stretch for about 15 minutes everyday.
