    The owner of the company I work for in San Diego is originally from Madison! :) Small world! Are you guys getting chilly weather yet? I'm originally from Upstate NY and in the last two weeks, it's dropped from being around 80 to 50's already!

    Whenever I get a food craving, I pause for a moment and think about what's going on: am I having a craving because I am actually hungry, or am I just thinking about how great something tastes? If I'm actually hungry, I will always go eat something. If what I was craving is actually healthy, then I'll go eat that if I can. If what I'm craving isn't very healthy, then I will either choose something else while telling myself that I know it's better and once I fill my belly the craving will stop, or I will actually choose the unhealthy thing if it's been a few days since I've had anything particularly unhealthy. I have a strict diet, but I still don't like to deprive myself of the things I enjoy, and I find that if I have a couple of days a week with higher calorie consumption, that it certainly doesn't hurt me and may in fact actually benefit my metabolism. As far as dealing with food at family gatherings, I usually eat beforehand. If I decide that I want to eat there, then I give myself a break and refuse to feel guilty because I had white rice or a biscuit. I just make sure not to overeat, and it's usually not a big deal. You are what you do regularly.

    I see you're training for a marathon. Have you run one before?

    Thank you for passing by at my blog 'How to stay slim while dealing with toxic people' and for your kind words also. I take each day as it comes and I know with god and everyone else on here I will get there, in fact we both will. I have learnt in life that if you want to see something getting done you have to put all the effort in your self and move forward. Only 'we' can lose weight and better our chances. Off course I would like my husband for support but I am using his harsh words to spur me on to do better so I can get the confidence to say goodbye. I just can't at the minute get the courage to leave him as if I am honest he has been verbally abusing me for a few years now. Sadly I am not in that place as yet but who knows what the future may entail. I really appreicate you stopping by. I can't believe that my blog has touched so many and I am truly astonished of that. Normally I do allot of rambling but I do hold my heart on my sleeve and sometimes I get carried away not realising that I shouldn't have said that but the way I look at it, its my blog and its personal only to me.
