Thanks for your comments on my blog. This is my second year dragon boating and I'm hooked. Have a final regatta coming up Aug 12 and actually coming home from the cottage early so I can attend. That's dedication!

And sometimes we need friends more than food too! Thanks for smiling with me, my friend! Thanks for reading my blog!

Haha haven't decided how to celebrate yet. I haven't been to Disneyland in years! Yeah, when you start with weight training, your muscles hold onto water for a while (or something), but that extra weight and water drops shortly. Actually, after my weight sessions with my trainer, I would be a little bloated/heavier the next day, but it disappeared the day after. That generally only happened when I pushed myself with the weights I was doing (heavier weights). After my morning cardio, I tend to weigh less.

Body fat% on the scales can be thrown off depending on when you ate, how hydrated you are, etc. Probably the best time to measure that is in the morning before breakfast, and just compare it at the same time each week. At least if the actual number isn't accurate, if you're measure yourself in the same state and the number goes down, then you can be pretty certain you're losing fat.

Thank you for your comment on my blog. You're right, it is definitely a good sign. Plus, it makes it easier to stay away from "bad" food when they make you so sick. I did weigh in anyway, I was participating in a team challenge so I was obligated. I didn't actually gain anything....probably because I got so sick the night before. Anyway, thank you & keep up the great work! You will reach your goals! You can do it!
