My name is Kristen. I'm 27 years old and I own my own cusom design and printing business in downtown Holdrege. During the day, I sit at my computer and barely move so I need to get active and be healthy. Over the last few years I have really struggled with my weight. This coming year will be filled with a lot of new opportunities and I'm motivated to get back in shape so I can feel confident again.

Why I Want To Get In Shape?

OVERALL: Just for me! To feel and look comfortable in my skin! To be proud of myself for working so hard! To feel and look healthier!

MOTIVATION: ...I'M GETTING MARRIED! He proposed on Christmas morning and we started planning right away! The wedding is in September and I want to look great in my "future" wedding dress. We're going to a warmer climate for the honeymoon and I want to feel comfortable in a bathing suit. I want to look back on our photos and not be disgusted and embarrassed for how I look.

My Goals:

~3x a week - 1 hr each
Lose 10 lbs

No pop, eat fruit and veggies for snacks.

Try 1 new recipe each wk
8 glasses of water
2-3 servings of fruits/veggies
Stay within my calorie range of 1200-1550 per day

My Program:
I am doing a 7 week boot camp class Mon, Wed and Fri and each session is 60 minutes.

Tues & Thurs - I do cardio for 45 minutes and then do 20-30 minutes of strength.

    I wish I was a runner by nature but NO ONE in my family is :P My dad does long distance bike riding and one of my sisters goes to the gym frequently but none of us have ever been in runners shape. I am about to go to the gym and this time I think I will do the elliptical first and then the treadmill second to see if that warmup helps prevent the side stitch pain

    I always end up getting a "side stitch" in my right side, like a very very painful cramping right under my rib when I run so it really prevents me from going for very long. I'm trying to really strengthen my core and alter my drinking/eating times and stretching to try and correct it because it makes running a real pain because every other part of my body feels capable, my breathing feels fine but the stabbing pain is unbearable! Do you run outside or on the treadmill? I never really run outside, I don't have a near workout buddy and I don't really feel comfortable running alone :X I watch too much forensic crime shows. I usually warm up 3 minutes walking 3.8-4.0 then jog 3-5 minutes at 5.2-5.4, then walk at 3.8-4.0 for 2 minutes, then jog 3-5 minutes at 5.2-5.4, and repeat for 30-60 minutes... but the stupid side stitch has been killing me. It has been a somewhat recent development but then again so has me running :P I used to be scared of running on a treadmill!! Like I would trip and fall and WOOOSH on the band and embarass myself lol
