I'm sorry I'm just now getting to stop by your page. I was reading through the comments on my blog and you really made me feel encouraged by what you said. Its always exciting to find someone who love Turbo Fire too! Although I'm not as strong as I was a year ago I still love her workouts and I still do them. They will be my workout of choice until she makes new ones and then I will add them to my current favorites

For now though I have to modify everything I do [just like I did 4 years ago when my journey began. I actually maintained my high fitness level for 2 full years before I got off track. I don't know if you've read the Spark book, but it talked a lot about the downward spiral. Well...that's where Ive been...

But I'm truly working at getting back on track- getting back to the basics. I know HOW to do it, but its simply a matter of being motivated again. Being here on sparkpeople helps me so much! People, friends like YOU make this website a wonderful place to gain confidence and reach important goals.

So I was thinking about what you said in regard to "reset", Ive never heard of that. But I'd love to have someone that I can talk to about which workouts I'm doing and the program I'm using. SO I will try to get on the TF team thread more often and be a more active team mate!

I don't know my meals ahead of time but I do sit down before each one and figure it all out so I know what the fat and protein are and then adjust if I need to. I've been really trying to lower fat and up the amount of protein in each day as much as I can.. Once money isn't so tight here I'll definitely look into picking up that box set. I have a zumba box set that I LOVE but like I said, I like variety so having more choices definitely won't hurt. I'm in the process right now of trying to convince my fiancé to come to the gym with me on weekends for a different type of workout from the 30 day shred I've been doing during the week. I think it would also make my cheat day on Friday that much better cuz I'll at least know that I deserve the snack lol.

My little guy is 4. He'll start school this September coming up. Makes me sad but I'm hoping I have a freakin job by then so it won't feel so bad me being here all by myself during the day while everyone is out either at school or at work. It's pretty frustrating. But for now I'll just enjoy the time I get to spend with him. I think him watching me workout during the week might help him cuz he's already trying to join me so maybe it'll teach him to appreciate fitness . I've also been trying to push nutrition on my kids by allowing them to eat whatever healthy snack they want whenever they're hungry. I'm hoping in the end it's just something they'll always naturally reach for but we'll see.

Lol @ you snarling! I can almost picture it in my head you hovered over the spread with handfuls of crackers and food in your mouth growling at a hand that got too close. That's how I picture myself too when I feel like I'm being completely greedy over something I love lol.

My shoulder seems to be better but I am taking it a bit easy on it until I don't feel pain in it at all.

I'm really liking this calendar idea a lot. It's fun giving myself stickers for eating and for getting off my butt and seeing the calendar slowly get cluttered up cuz I had so many good days in a row.

    Tell
me about Turbo Fire? I'm always looking for something different to keep workouts interesting!

My weekend was not bad.. my fiancé took my older two kids skiing so it was just me and my lil guy here so I took advantage and snuck in a workout.

I know what you mean about crackers and cheese but for me it's crackers and appetizer meat like sausages etc. Or dips for crackers like this surprise spread stuff.. if that's near me when I'm out you might as well forget having any yourself haha!

I've been pretty down lately. I've been applying for jobs but they're hard to come by in this tiny town and bills and wedding expenses just keep adding up. The positive in it is that the frustration I feel I push into my workouts so I think I'm pushing harder than I normally would be. I'm hoping something changes here quick!

That sounds like a wonderful new years! Sorry to hear you were sick on Christmas though, what a rotten way to spend Christmas!

Well I am back to it, worked out Thursday, planned on working out Friday but I did something to my shoulder and I couldn't raise my arm past like boob level so I decided to just take it easy that day. Woke up yesterday and it was still a bit sore but I wanted to workout so I just babied that arm and shoulder as much as possible and by the end of the workout there was no pain left in it at all.

A friend of mine gave me an idea to do to help make exercising and eating properly that much more fun. We started an exercise calendar. Picked up a calendar and some stickers and some colorful pens and every day we exercise we get a fun sticker (mine is butterflies because I'm a butterfly when I work out lol) and then we get another sticker for each day we eat within range (mine are happy faces to symbolize a happy body from eating well haha) and then every sunday I'm going to write on the calendar with a colorful pen the weight I lost and my current weight so I have an actual visual beside me of my progress. It'll be cool to see how many stickers I can collect over the month and to see if I can beat that amount next month
