I started with Spark People in March of 2009. I tracked ocassionaly and exercised 2-3 sometimes 4-5 times a week. I have told myself that I am not losing because of my thyroid problem, because of my age (60) and other ridiculous things. I have also not exercised when I would have my 2 granddaughters over for their weekly sleep over. I have had excuses for everything. But this is a new year and I have a new attitude. I am going to commit to exercise 10 minutes six days a week. Although I plan to do considerably more, but anyone can do 10 minutes and on those busy days that may be all I will accomplish but I will accomplish it - no more excuses. I will commit to tracking my food everyday even when I go over because that is life and it is not perfect. And I will start using the tools offered by Spark People. There are so many inspirational and uplifting stories and they really do help me stay focused and committed. Yes, this will be my year!!!

Fitness Minutes: 6,446

My Goals:
To lose the excess weight that tires me out, embarasses me, and ties me down. To eat healthy so I can really nourish my body and have the energy I want to keep up with my 4 beautiful grandchildren!

My Program:
To track my food consistently, even when I go over... To move everyday at least 10 minutes~To eat healthy~to write in a journal and to seek out help when I get discouraged.

Personal Information:
I am 60 years young! Married 40 years to my high school sweetheart. Work part time at home as a bookkeeper. I have 2 beautiful daughters, and 2 wonderful sons-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren! I am blessed.

Other Information:
I am going to Hawaii in March for 2 weeks. The first week I will spend with my wonderful husband celebrating our 40 years of marriage. (OCT 09) Week 2 will be with my sister and we will celebrate turning 60. We are 14 months apart!!!
