My Goals:
Loose weight and get my Cholesterol numbers down.
My Program:
Keeping Calories in the 1,500 to 1,850 range and excercising by going to the gym and circuit training or walking 5 miles at a 15 minute mile pace.
Personal Information:
I am happily married and have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls ages are 13, 14, 16, and 18...
Other Information:
In January I went to the Dr. for a check up and he said I was over weight and that my Cholesterol was too high. He talked about meds and I asked if I could try and get it under control. My wife Brenda has been a member of SparkPeople so I decided to give it a try and diet here. I found out it is not a diet but a new way of life and we have been enjoying walking and working out together. We share the cooking duties and we have both become very creative in the kitchen. It is now April and under 100 days of being a member of Spark People and I went back to the Dr. He was shocked to see that I have lost 40 LBS since January so he took blood to check out the cholesterol. My total cholesterol dropped from 253 to 149, my LDL went from 153 to 88 and my Triglycerides went from a whopping 239 to 55..... Needless to say we were all shocked. I told my Dr. about this site and gave him information so he can spred the SPARK too... So, it can be done, it is not always easy, but it can be fun too. I h
