Hi, I'm Cat, a 40 yr old mom of 4 who has been yo-yo dieting my entire life. I'm here to make the life changes I need for a healthier and happier tomorrow.
About two years ago, I was so sick of myself, that I went on a major starvation diet. Honestly, I wouldn't eat from Sunday to Thursday. It worked great, I lost the weight, and I felt great... NOT what the H*77 was I thinking?!?! of course, that was after WW x2, the cabbage soup diet (gross), multiple attempts at Atkins, several summers of a salad a day diet, you name the diet, I tried ....... Why do we do this to ourselves ???
I'm so angry with the media, for putting pressure on us to look and be a certain size or shape! I don't care how much I diet, I'm never going to be built like Paris !! I'm angry that they put all these false claims out there for people as desperate as most of us to lose the weight to listen too GRRRRRRRR !!! I recently bought a "Woman's Day" magazine with a weight loss article about a well known star, the cover said after years of yo-yo dieting, she has found her way. The article on the inside basically said starve one day, eat whatever you want the next!!! making claims that you could lose all you wanted eating juicy burgers and chocolate !! AGAIN GRRRRRRRRRR =( I have a 12 yr old daughter who is already 'feeling the pressure' and having trouble with body image. She hasn't said it, but I look at her and see myself. This change is partly about her. When she is ready for change, I'm going to be armed with the right tools and show her a positive example!
This time its going to be different. simple math, calories in vs calories out!!! I WILL eventually lose the weight. I did not gain it overnight, nor will it come off that way. I will honor my body as the temple it is and treat it as such. There are no off limit food or drinks on my plan, but I will log every morsel and be accountable for it =) I will have good days and bad days, but I'm sure with the help of this great community, I WILL succeed !!! I am DONE !!! I believe in me and I challenge you to believe in yourself as well !!! WE CAN DO THIS !!!!!!!

My Goals:
-drink 8 glasses of water daily
-log food daily
-work out 45-60 minutes 6 days a week


My Program:
just attempting to make healthier choices, and learning to be accountable for what I put into my body, and doing cardio for 60 minutes x6 days a week.



Personal Information:
I have battled with weight issues my entire life, but always turned to some crazy fad or starvation diet. Im getting older and am attempting to make lasting change.


Other Information:
Im a wife and mother of 4 beautiful children. I work as an emergency room nurse. I feel so blessed to do what I do. My hubby and I ride a Harley( I ride, he drives) it is one of our favorite past times. When we are not out on the scooter, we are usually working in our yard. I love to garden !!! I am also an avid bird watcher and have photographed over 50 species in our yard !!! I love people, and meeting new friends!!! We can all do this togother =)
