I started attending Weight Watchers over 40 yrs. ago, when I was in high school. WOW...that makes me sound really OLD! The closest meeting was 90 miles- one way! My mother and I went together. I think she was doing it more for me than for her. She didn't want me to experience life as a fat person like she had. I guess I wasn't ready back then. In my mid-20's I went back to WW, and took off 75 lb. I didn't recognize the person that I saw in the mirror. I went thru a dramatic physical change, but never really accepted my weight loss emotionally. I'd never had to deal with attention from the opposite sex, or jealousy from other women. I didn't even know how to accept a compliment. I gradually gained the weight back. It made me feel safe. Over the years I have lost 50 lb here...75 lb there, but I would always gain it back, +more, of course. I finally get it. Weight loss is not just physical...it's mental, and emotional. Even spiritual. I have all of the tools that I need here at SparkPeople, and at my WW meetings. I'm not afraid of failing. I'm not afraid of succeeding! It took me 40 years to get to this place- IT*SNEVER2LATE!!! --------------------------------- *TRIBUTE TO BETTY~* Betty Boop is a legend we grew up with and a lady with class, She can be a cowgirl or princess, quiet or sometimes full of sass. Hello Friend,

I am making slow progess but I can tell the little improvements every day. It was not a good idea to try to take medications, it made my liver very unhappy and I ballooned in weight. Sigh. I am doing my best not to feel overwhelmed about that and about strrting over. Not to mention how bad I have been feeling physically.

My girls will be home next week. I let myself get set back even before they came hom for holidays. They are wonderful girls but the whole chemistry of the house is different when they come home. I don't know how to handle that.
    Thanks for all, Deb

    Hey Sandy,

Weather here is gloomy but no rain today and not to cold. About 60 outside now.
I weighed yesterday and was the same as Friday and for me with my weekend that was GREAT. Have an Uncle in the hospital and it is only 8 blocks from the house so we are the ones running there all times of the day or night.
So my eating was a bit off but held my own. I have never eating Mongolian in my life, what is is like.

Congrats on not gaining. Later skater, Karla :-)

PS I am being a bit easier on myself, thanks.
