I joined SP one year ago on my birthday, July 19th. I weighed 240lbs, my knees ached, my back hurt, I was hypertensive, and could hardly walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath. I finally got fed up and decided I would not live like that. I started with SP and one year later on my birthday I am 57lbs lighter. I don't have aches and pains, I am no longer hypertensive, I have the endurance to play with my 7 year old and exercise. I recently started spinning and I love it!! I can do an hour class and feel accomplished not exhausted. I am so glad that I found SP. I have not been active on the sight in a long while. But, I decided that I will make time for me and for my continued journey. I will continue to strive to reach my goal weight and a healthy BMI. I look foward to sharing my experience with all my Spark Friends!!

My Goals:
In short my goals are to lose weight once and for all, become healthier and more active, and to make my whole familys life style more healthy in general.
Goal 1-230lbs=mani/pedi (met 8/19)
Goal 2-220lbs=lingere (met 9/26)
Goal 3-210lbs=new shoes (met 10/31..208.6!)
Goal 4-200lbs=new outfit(met 12/11)
Goal 5-190lbs=salsa lessons (met 3/19/09)
Goal 6-180lbs=VACATION!

My Program:
I am tracking my meals( a huge help and what an eye opener :-0!!) I am also making sure that I research healthy recipes that are simple to make and meet my nutritional needs. I also have the support on my family which is of the utmost importance. I also make a conscious decision to get active at least 20 minutes a day.
