You know we go on in life and forget to make the little changes that are important. I am updating my goals and setting the pace for they year 2017. I noticed I had not updated it in a very long time. Doing much better these days...I am walking on my own and occasionally getting back on a horse that doesn't text my by gone skills. I miss fall and am now looking forward to going back home to Michigan to enjoy Spring and the coming of GREEN. The riverbed, creeks, and lake on the property here will be a wonderful site to see. I am missing the land, my dogs, and of course my family there. I plan to get some great walks in and a lot of exercising the old fashion way. Hard labor (of love) of course.

My Goals:
2017 Goals, dropping another 50lbs and putting my butt in the saddle more often. Eat healthier and follow a better schedule for sleeping and getting things done. I might hit that pool for some water aerobics.

My Program:
Eating better, working out more, and getting in some water aerobics.

Personal Information:
I love Horses of course, but I also love riding Motor Cycles...I own two of them. A Honda Shadow 750 and a Harley Davidson Custom Low Rider. I love to travel, I have been all over the world (well in quite a few places) including every state in the US except...Hawaii, Alaska, and California. I can see missing the two, but Cali how did I manage that. I was born here in Michigan but would love to discover my Irish roots and visit Ireland. I am drawn to the Celtic clans there and in Scotland. Someday very soon I will make the plans to go there and find information on the Sheehan's of Cork County. Maybe a distant cousin or two awaits me there. Maybe not!

Other Information:
I have 4 children all grown and 7 grand children ages 16 to 30 all of whom ride horses. We are a horse n around family. Almost everything we do involves in some way our passion for the Love of Horses!

First of all, thank you!! I did get the pics as you said. However, when and if you get time, please look at my spark page and let me know how to get an enlargement/close up of my profile pic. Also, why can't I get more than one at the top and none on my actual page like your beautiful scene. Also, where are all those background pictures everyone has? Again, thank you so much! No hurry, whenever you find time.

Thanks for the compliment on my background picture! No, I don't think it is from home, it is a picture that someone sent me in an Email, and it was so pretty that I kept it.

Actually, there ARE scenes like this in East Texas, that part of the state is a LOT like the midwest, with tall trees and lots of ponds (though down here, they are referred to as "tanks")

Our part of Texas is in what I call the transition area, where we don't have a lot of tall trees (though there are lots of trees) and it is drier here than East Texas, but not as dry as West Texas, of course. West Texas is more like what everyone pictures as Texas, with the desert and cactus and tumbleweeds, LOL!

This state is so large and covers so much area that it basically has any form of topography you would want................. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Everything is about me...I know that. If I don't try no one will care except me, and if I don't succeed no one is to blame but me. Not that I don't have a back up team, they are there, but they can't sew up my mouth and keep the food out of it, they can't drag me off the couch and make me move. It's all about me and always will be.

So I need to get me going and find a way to keep me motivated!

I am not sure I actually watch my calcium intake. I do know I am a Milk lover and I drink 2 % I can't go down to Skim (sorry)
I love Yogurt, Cheese, and eat a lot of Green Veggies. Broccoli, Okra. I am not a great fish eater but I have found this restaurant that offers some awesome White Fish...so I think I am going to eat there at least once a week.

The only thing I know I have to keep up on are bananas because I get cramps in my legs if I don't. So one or two bananas a day I eat for just that. I am not taking any calcium or potassium supplements.

As far as staying on track, no I'm not each day brings a new design and plan. But I try to get my needs in no matter what.

Thanks Jeannie - the swelling is coming from the accident I am not sure I will ever get over it....I've tried the stockings, bandages, braces, lifting over the heart. And I sit here with my leg up and two pillows on a chair to keep it elevated. The knees swell a little from the replacement, but the real problem is in my ankle. I have 3 screws on the right side and 1 metal clamp on the left side of the right ankle. I severed the Achilles and it had to be rebuilt (sewn together). When it was done and I could walk...my shoe size went from a 9 to an 11 in order to get it over the ankle. So my left foot is a 9 and my right is an 11...makes for an expensive shoe buy. I have to buy two pairs of each shoe I wear right now. My worse trouble is trying to get the right foot into a boot...Impossible if it doesn't open right down to the floor almost. I can't bend the foot in the right angle to get it in. Ouch....but the good news is that it could have been worse. The motor of my 300 came in on top of me and I thought both my legs and my neck was broke. I came out with just a shattered right foot and ankle. God was watching over me and has something more for me to do out here.
