My name is Selena I started 2010 weighing 223 lbs. I had just had a miscarriage after 5 months of pregnancy. I knew it was time for me to do something about the weight I had been putting on over the past 5 years. I began working out 4-5 days a week after work. By June 2010, I weighed 180 lbs. Since then I have not been stuck to eating right, but have still gone to the gym 2-3 times a week. So i have just maintained my weight. I am now trying to get back to eating right and working out consistently so that i can lose 40 more lbs. I know I can do it!

I am compulsive. I have found that I often deal with stress by either eating spending, money, working, or now reading peoples spark pages.
Eating lead me to obesity, money led to credit card debt, overworking keeps me from my family and I am learning to use spark in a healthy way that keeps motivated but doesnt alienate me from my family.

2011 is not only about losing weight but also about paying down my debt and not buying things just because. I will use my weight loss to reward myself.

Just as difficult as it for me to not order hamburger when I go out to eat, it is just as difficult to leave a clothing store with out buying something. But I will do this.

30-40 min cardio. Rowing machine, elliptical, stairmaster, jogging/walking. Strength training program through sparkpage.

    Good Morning! Your life definitley sounds hectic! I am not sure what I would do if I had a child right now. I guess I am pretty spoiled with my time and I still cant get motivated sometimes! Ugh!! I have come to the conclusion that I was eating too many calories the past 2 months so now I am trying to stay below 1300. Yesterday I at less than 1200 but I am up early for work and I am definitely starving now!!! Your job sounds so interesting. I cant believe that there are those types of issues at the middle school level. Its really sad. Well, I hope you have a healthy and successful Tuesday. Shoot me a message if you ever need to chat!

    I havent checked in with you for a while so I wanted to say hi and see what has beeng going on with you. I didnt catch this until right now but I see that you are a counselor at a middle school in LA? Did you know I am a middle school counselor in Pittsburgh???? That is so cool!!! How long have you been a counselor? Do you like it? Those kids never cease to amaze me with thier wild and unpredicatable. How are your workouts? Weight loss? Looking forward to catching up!

    you're such a sweetheart! Thinking about my issues! Thanks so much for the advice! I think that would be more interesting and doable then doing the same thing for 45 minutes. I dont work out at a gym but I can rotate through some different things at home. Thanks again for thinking about me and helping me out!

    AH, I am so sorry that you dont feel well! Gee, I hope I didnt give it to you! lol! You should drink lots and lots and lots of fluids. My future Mother in law told me to drink anything warm with honey and lemon. Also, eating a spoonful of honey works for a cough as well as most cough syrups. Gargle with warm salt water to get rid of a sore throat as well. Hope some of this advice helps! Take care!
