Spark worked for me, I lost a total of 77 lbs. and was running hundreds and hundreds of miles a year. I've completed two marathons, many half marathons, 15k, 10ks and I stopped counting 5ks. I LOVE to run. I've had two children during this time frame, one was a really healthy pregnancy and it seemed I was back in shape in a good amount of time. Before my most recent pregnancy I was diagnosed with depression, I had been depressed over a year before we figured out what my issue was as I was healthy as could be. The medication slowly started helping, and while doing so, I slowly but consistently saw my weight getting higher. Became pregnant, switched meds around... I was very active but despite it I still gained too much. My little guy is now 2 years old, I’m coming up on two years since going off my meds (though I admit there have been times I probably should have taken them again), I’ve been off soda for a year and half and I’m down 30 lbs. I’m not where “I’d like to be” but are we ever? I’m eating well without depriving myself completely, running much less competitively (and I LOVE it!) for my physical and mental health, and enjoying my family. Postpartum I’ve raced a 6 miler, a relay marathon, a half marathon and a one mile fun run with ALL four of my kiddos:) I’m coming up on 9 years since I decided to make lifestyle changes, I’m grateful I didn’t settle on a quick fix for my health. If you have or do struggle with depression and/or anxiety, you are NOT alone.🖤 "It just got too hard." "It's supposed to be 'hard'. If it wasn't 'hard' everyone would do it. The 'hard'...
