    What a great step in the new member challenge. Great to meet you and sounds like you are off to a good start. Sometimes our end goal may seem daunting but like you, I broke it into small steps and that helped.

    I didn't start out with a goal weight although I wanted to get into the middle of the "overweight" BMI category. Mostly I wanted to feel better, eat better and move more. Approaching this not as a diet but as a lifestyle really worked for me and when I hit that first goal I didn't do anything different except continue to lose weight.
    Never in a million years would I have expected to lose 85 lbs and go from 226 (or so) to 140 AND stay there for over 3 years.
