In 2018 I learned I am prediabetic, have moderate sleep apnea, a fibroid and polycystic ovarian syndrome, and now in January 2019 a gynecologist is treating me for endometriosis with depo provera...a shot that has caused me to gain weight in the past. These diagnoses are major obstacles for me, but are also answers that tell me why I struggle with energy, memory, concentration, appetite, and losing weight.

I lost 50 pounds in 2014 but gained most of it back after an appendectomy in 2015. Since then every time I would build my stamina up something would go wrong and I end up losing all my progress. But now that I finally have answers and am getting treatment I feel hopeful and motivated, it is even more important now that I lose weight to reduce symptoms of the health problems that are causing weight gain. I saw a dietician recently and got some tips that will help me stay on track with my diet, and set a goal to exercise at least 30 minutes every day to build momentum with my metabolism.

My Goals:
My goal/New years resolution is to use my cpap machine every single night. I know that consistent restful sleep will allow my body to start working right and will be able to lose some weight. My long term goal is to reduce my pant size from 18W to a size 8, or lose 60 pounds, whichever comes first.

My Program:
I try to burn 500 calories at least a couple days per week, or at least 250 calories EVERY day to get my metabolism turned on. Also, I try to eat around 1500 to 1800 calories per day of healthy filling foods, depending on how many calories I burned from exercise. I know if I don't keep trying I will only feel worse and see my weight continue to creep up.
