Introduction Text With Osteoporosis and arthritis in my back- I really need to do something about my weight and strenghthen my bones. I should not have let myself get this way. Over the years I have added 40 pounds and this has not done me well. Hopefully with SP I will be able to get back down and do my body some favors so it doesn't hurt so much anymore. With the motivational messages and all the support from SP- I know I will be able to do this.

My goal is to lose around 25 pounds. This is the first goal and I intend to do it slowly and gradually so as to not make it a chore. After I have lost 1 0 pounds- will change my goal to the exact weight I want to achieve.

Right now I am using the stationery bike and walking and excercises. I need to be careful at first and work up gradually. I have the Spark fitness kit to help me along with this.

I am a happy married 68 year old Grandma.I have 3 beautiful girls of my own and acquired 2 more with my second marriage. We have 15 grandchildren between us and 9 plus 2 more on the way of great grandchildren. We live in the country which is just beautiful and the summer and terrible in the winter. A small farmette it was- but as we retired it is much smaller. Two dogs and 3 goats. We worked in the factory administration for many years and now are enjoying the golden (?) years. This is probably how this weight thing got out of hand. Now to get back on track.

I like to play on POGO on the computer and on Facebook- and FarmTown. I watch Desperate Housewives and Army Wives and American Idol. I just hate it when the seasons end. Other than that- my grandchildren and great grandchildren are a joy to have around and see. Their little families do have many things in the fire- so we don't get to see them as often as we would like. That is life. We enjoy our 2 dogs, a Sheltie and a Lhaso Apso- they kind of are our children now that our own are grown and out of the nest.
