My Goal is to keep the weight off!


Last year I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic and all my doctor said was to lose weight. So...I did with the help of Spark People and my friends who are also controlling theirs with diet and exercise. Last year I lost 65 pounds. My goal for this year is to keep it off and up my exercise and strength training and to continue to eat healthy!!

 I love to knit, crochet, glass paint and read. I especially like mystery books and even an occasional romance novel!!! I walk my dog, Zoey, around our neighborhood and use a recumbent bike as well as hand weights.

    Hubby's radiation treatment is done and he is going to chemo every 3 months now if things do okay. For 2 years. We are hoping to get our covid vaccines soon. Things are messed up in this area. I think we are all owed a bunch of holidays due to covid. LOL. We have to stay at home. I will try to keep in touch better. Hugs.

    The mixer I am giving Kathryn is a Artisan Kitchen-aid. I bought it years ago, and not sure that particular style is still being made. They have updated the blender throughout the years. Mine is still just as good. I bought it re-built, and saved money. We rarely use it anymore so when Kathryn asked about it (she is into baking etc) I told her she could have it.     How was the Zoom Baby Shower. That is interesting, but a great way to have a shower.
    It wasn't windy at all today. In the 50's, but sunny. I am wearing a t-shirt. I took Emma and walked in the hills. The sun felt warm, so the weather was just right. She had fun sniffing around, and I enjoyed listening to the birds. I saw two Hawks flying in the distance. I also saw a good size of Geese headed for the San Bernardino area. They have several lakes over our side of the Mountains.

    Debbie said they had snow today. How fun!
