Hi all,
I'm a full time student, going for my Computer Science degree. Only two more semesters and I'm done! So been down this road, have had success and been knocked back on my bottom but here goes round.... ok so I've lost count, but the good news is that even with my fall backs in this journey, I've managed to stay under my original starting weight of 260 lbs. I'm currently 245 lbs and would LOVE to get to 150 lbs by the time I graduate in May 2017. I think my main problem is that as soon as winter hits, I give up on the exercise and in to not so healthy comfort foods... by no means do I want to eliminate any type of food from my life but I do want to learn to control how much of it I eat in a week. I really would like to find a good cook book that offers some healthy eats that are not lacking in flavor (love me some spicy food w/ flavor), so if you know of any, PLEASE feel free to drop me a line and share. Oh, I should add I'm not a fan of the artificial sweeteners, I'd rather cut the amount of sugar added than substitute it with some Splenda, another down fall to all these "healthier" recipes that I've come across.

Aside from being a full-time student, I'm also the mother of two AMAZING kids. I love spending time with my kids, as well as shooting my bow in leagues and just for fun, I enjoy bowling, going for walks, bike rides, and would love to start getting back into roller skating/blading...used to love going to the roller skating rink as a kid, so figure it's probably something I'd still enjoy and I'm sure my kids would luv to learn.

I have plenty of friends and family that are always talking about needing to lose weight but never really want to team up, which I honestly feel I might be more successful at this if I had some one to keep me on track...but such is life and I realize that I need to be able to hold myself accountable anyways, so here I am. I'm hoping by sharing my actions with you all, as well as tracking my eating habits, that I'll stay dedicated because not only do I want to lose weight so that I can gain confidence but I want to be healthier so that my kids will have a role model for their health, would hate for them to struggle because of bad habits I'm teaching them so need to turn things around and get some good habits rolling.
