Introduction Text After many years of struggling to exit the obese category I've decided I needed an extra tool. I have opted to have gastric sleeve surgery. This was not a decision I made easily. It is not an easy way out. As a matter of fact, this is hard. I will still need to work hard to achieve my goals, but I will have an added tool to assist me. I finally feel I have a real hope for success!

I've been "dieting" since I'm 10 yrs. old. I feel it's my time to stop dieting and start living!!!! This is a lifestyle change to insure a longer, healthier and happier life for as long as God gives me!

I plan on following the "SPARK" way of life! To me, that means, a positive way of life, regardless of which eating program I choose to follow. It means having a place to come to for support, guidance and friendships. A place I can ask questions, get and give advice and feel a sense of belonging.

My name is Kathy. I'm 58 years young. I'm married and have 3 grown children and 5 young grandchildren. I work full time and love life. I want to have my "outside" match how I feel "inside".
