I'm a graduate student and frequently find myself sitting around being lazy when I should be up doing something. I hope that getting back into a rigorous workout regime will increase my motivation in other aspects of my life.

Fitness Minutes: 1,129

My Goals:
1)COMPLETED, Sort of, (2/27/11 - ran the cowtown 10k with a time of 56:50 but felt I could have pushed myself a little more. Would like to run a 5k soon with a time of less-than 21mins.)Run a competitive 5k before I turn 26 (end of March)

2)Run a half marathon before the end of 2011 summer

3)Improve core strength (maybe even get a six pack in the process)

4)Start overall strength training again, especially upper-body (I would like to rock climb again)

5)Maintain a healthy diet that is both carnivorously(?) and environmentally responsible, yet satisfying

My Program:
I plan on running 3-4 miles three times a week with a focus on improving speed. Followed by one long distance run on the weekend that will typically increase 1 mile/week.

Core Strength:
P90X (ab ripper x) at least 3 times a week and yoga.

Personal Information:
I mostly grew up in San Diego, CA and went to college in central Illinois. I now live in Fort Worth, TX while trying to figure out what I want to do with my life.

I enjoy playing football (flag or tackle with friends), adult baseball, softball, and tennis.

I also enjoy camping and hiking.

I have an amateur interest in theoretical physics, stargazing, and philosophy.
