I am here to try to lose the last 15-20 pounds i have left. I have lost 15 pounds already but I was on and off with the diet and exercise for the last year and a half! But i am here to lose the weight once and for all.

So this is definitely not easy....but is anything in life easy???? You have to work really hard to be successful. That is exactly what i am planning on!! I am tired of feeling uncomfotable around summer time, because i can't wear cute clothes without showing my fat.

I come from a family that looooves to eat. Before I got married I was always able to maintain my weight between 130-135 lbs. When i got pregnant with my son I was weighing 148 lbs....at 9 months of pregnancy i was at 185 lbs!!!! The day after i gave birth to my son i weighed 165 lbs. Since that day i have been struggling to lose the extra pounds.
It has been 3 years since i had my son and although i have been yo-yo dieting i have been able to get to where i am now, @ 154 lbs. I have not been able to weigh lower than 154, this has actually been my lowest weight in the last 2 years and a half.
I know dieting and exercising is hard.....but it's not impossible. All it takes is willpower.
I woke up January 1st, 2009 thinking that i couldn't live being afraid of the beach just because i felt uncomfortable in a bathing suit! So i decided that this was going to be IT for me.
I am going to set small goals and I am going to take it one day at a time. I am going to push myself to be better each day.
I have a wonderful husband and an amazing son that will help along this journey. They support me each and every day. Besides i have a wonderful mother and the best father in the world and of course my brother who i love very much. What else does one need in life to realize that as long as you are surrounded by the love of your family you basically have it all.
So i want to thank everyone here in SP....I love this page! I love reading all the success stories.
I've realized that i love myself too much and that is why i want to be a healthy and active woman, wife, sister, mother and daughter. I want to set a wonderful example for my son.

Good luck to all of you and remember it's never too late. It doesn't matter how many times you fall, what matters is that you get right back up and decide to take ACTION! Just move forward and don't look back :)

I moved to NC from NJ in 2007. It has been a big change but I love it. The weather is actually better and my son has more space to run around in.
