The title of my sparkpage is in honor of my late father, who used that quote pretty regularly. I think it's fitting for how i want to lose weight - I'm gonna GO FOR IT!!

**As of January 1, 2010, my goal is to lose 100 lbs this year, and I'm going to do it! I've got a lot of support and tools - not only through SparkPeople, but offline as well and I'm ready to fight for a healthier lifestyle.**

**UPDATE June 7, 2010** i was recently diagnosed with hypothyroid and extremely low vitamin D deficiency. this has helped explain why my energy has been in the crapper and my weightloss never got off the ground at the start of the year. BUT it is no excuse! i am working with a very good doctor who really cares about my health and helping me shed this weight. i thankfully do not have diabetes or any other issues. phew! so now that i am under good care with a solid eating & workout program, i feel confident that i will make the most of the next six months of this year!

My Goals:
-drink 15-20 8 oz. glasses of water per day

- always eat breakfast

- eat more fruit & vegetables

- conscientious eating & CHEWING

- strength training & walk-runs

My Program:
i am following a program designed by my naturopath that includes a lot more protein than i used to eat and a ton of veggies! i also take a few supplements - amino acids, 5-HTP, and a multi. the supplements are really helping to restore some of my brain chemicals which makes it easier to stay on plan.
