Bachelor of Science (Molecular and Cell biology minoring in psychology) with honours in hand and raring to go. I've been some what absent from SP for a while now as I have surrendered any kind of life outside of studying and family responsibilities but having sat the final exam of my undergraduate degree last thursday (18th of october) I am now officially giving myself permission to have a life again.

I return a few pounds heavier and several in-patient hospital stays wiser with a new knowledge and wisdom giving me insight in to the ins and outs of many of my health conditions. So fro now I shall go, treadmill is no longer to be used as a clothes horse and shall be dusted down and pounded starting next monday! WATCH THIS SPACE.

Fitness Minutes: 24,349

My Goals:
To reduce my weight significantly and therefor reduce my insulin resistance/pre diabetes. DONE X

To become happier within myself and find me again! GETTING THERE !

To complete my first album before next may.

To learn to give more time and focus to my little boy. At least 30 minutes unadulterated play time every day.

To get my fitness level back up and keep it up by working exercise in to my daily routine. DONE X

My Program:
60 minutes of cardio 5 to 6 days a week, varying as I go in order to prevent my workout from becoming boring and stale. Have now built up the basis of a good home gymn so that I can pretty much always squeeze in exercise somewhere even if I cant get to the gym or we're rained in and walking isn't and option.

Personal Information:
I'm from Edinburgh. Working currently as a full time mum and studying towards an open university degree (hoping to become a dietician) . I am also a singer (my career pre baby) working on my first album at the moment, check out the first track at myspace.com/mooky60!

Other Information:
Love crime dramas, CSI, NCIS, Law & Order, Criminal Minds, Numbers, Cold Case, The Mentalist, New Tricks...think you're getting the picture.

    Congrats on your weight loss so far. It does make it more challenging when we have to add health issues in the mix too. However it can be done, and this site is a wonderful tool to accomplish that!

    Just wanted to thank you for introducing me to this site and to say you are awesome! You are doing so, so well with your weight loss and exercise program and are looking fab!
    I have a good few medical conditions too and it is good to hear someone else fighting the 'poor me' attitude that is so easy to fall into!
    You are an inspiration, and I'm really looking forward to getting in shape too!

    howdy! i saw your comment on the "but what if i can't lose weight" blog and i just wanted to say you're an inspiration! i've been diagnosed with PCOS and lately have been suspecting a thyroid problem as well (or maybe instead of) but i haven't been able to get to the dr to get that checked out yet.

    sometimes i feel like i can't lose weight, as it is hard for me to stick to a weight loss strategy, and even when i do, it doesn't always work out the way it's supposed to. but i suppose i can still be healthier even if i don't necessarily get thin in the process. *hehe*
