Hi thanks for stopping by ..... this is the real me and my Journey!

My 1st SparkPeople USERNAME was "ABUSEDIT" I felt I had done exactly that to my body .... helped me to stay motivated .... not to give up .... it worked!!

MAY 2020 - 119.8 LBS. vs 185 LBS. (- 65.2 LBS.)

JANUARY 2020 - 128 LBS.
Difficult year in many ways, rewarding and positive in others DH's illness .... a learning curve .....

OCTOBER 2019 - 125 LBS.
I did it .... I did it .... finally!

JANUARY 2019 - 146.2 LBS.

SEPTEMBER 2018 - 151.6 LBS.
Took a much needed summer break to reset the mind .....enjoyed so much food ..... so many treats.....no regrets
Family healthy and happy :o) .... brushing myself off and starting all over again .. with a SMILE....DETERMINATION
Returning to the team that's Motivated me "Rowdy Rebels"

JANUARY 2018 - 138.2 LBS.
Broke my wrist.... Surgery .... plate ..... pins ... Physio....
Continued exercising intentionally every day .... just not to the caliber I was able to before...
This "Energizer Bunny will never give up! lol

DECEMBER 2017 - 139.5 LBS.
DH diagnosed with Dementia ...I saw it coming .... just didn't want to believe it! ... this great man has exercised everyday for the 45 years we've been together ....is so healthy .... just retired ....the best years of our lives... and they still can be!

SEPTEMBER 2017 - 146 LBS.
Cataract Surgery for both eyes ....I followed that with an itty bitty pitty party (Migraines grrrrrr!) as well as a break from everything and anything I could ....
Cataract Surgery for both eyes in December .... Super Duper Vision Now!

AUGUST 2015 - 140.8 LBS.
Diagnosed with Osteoporosis
Never drank milk! (Gagged on it!)
Favorite drink of juice .... Water always since I'm a child

FEBRUARY 2014 - 153.6 LBS.
I accidentally injured my left knee, not able to exercise as much awaiting for knee surgery.

DECEMBER 2013 - 152 LBS. - GAINED 17 LBS.!!
I was was coming down our slanted driveway just a bit of snow and ice ... legs flew up flipped my foot completely sideways broke my right ankle in 3 places .... surgery/plates/screws ....Physio
4 months later they had to remove all appliance in my ankle .... they were affecting my Migraines (go figure ....)

APRIL 2011 - 135 LBS - LOST 50 LBS!!

MAY 2009 - 185 LBS. - JOINED SparkPeople
Needed to get back on my feet and healthy
Googled weight loss program and here my journey started .... getting the feel and understanding the program ....

MAY 2007 - 189 LBS.
My Neurologist had spoken to me many times about "Botox Injections for Migraines" and it's success rate .. I was definitely hesitant/scared of the unknown and possible side effect ... every 3 months she injects 22-26 needles in my head/temples
I am finally able to have a normal life!!

APRIL 2006 - 189 LBS
10 years of Pain Medication .. Hospitalizations (Demerol/Morphine ... Neurological Migraine Studies.
Unable to function on a daily basis... bedridden for over 12 years due to Chronic Migraines (averaged 15-22 migraines a month since the age of 16 .. In 1981 after many years of documentation and daily journals the Neurologists pinned down the cause environmental and weather changes)

My Program:
SparkPeople Guidelines .. no diet just back to basics ...
Fitbit Inspire HR

1. Weigh, track and log everything I eat and drink. Enter all Nutritional Info. for every grocery purchased. It

makes it so much easier for tracking on SP

2. Eliminate processed foods

3. Ensure that all necessary Nutrients are met (i.e. fibre, calcium, sodium, etc.)

4. 8-10 cups of water daily

5. Daily Intentional Exercises, unless I'm ill (i.e. Aerobics, dancing, weights, kettle bell, and stepping etc.) I get bored easily so I need to change it up in 10 minute intervals.

6. 10,000 Steps Daily.

7. Strength Training - 30 minutes daily

I'm only 5'2 eyes are blue .... you know the s ong.... lol
I'm 67 years young - Married April Fool's day!! - 45 years ago, we have 2 Adult Children - 5 ADORABLE Grandchildren and of course Moby the 4th" our Lovebird.

Other Information:
I've had Gym memberships in the past .... since DH's illness all my exercises are done at home it's great!!!
Never exercised a day in my life .... until I turned 57
Thrive on Challenging myself!
