I view my struggle with food as a unique opportunity to learn about the intensity with which I want to live my life. I no longer want to criticize or berate myself for my conflict with food, but accept that I nurtured myself in the best way that I knew of at the time with the tools I was given. Now that I am aware of the consequences and my behavior patterns, I am gradually letting go of my old ways of coping and allowing myself to explore new, healthy ways to meet my needs, both emotionally and physically. I accept my past as I learn better ways to nurture myself. I use the butterfly to illustrate my desires to emerge from my cocoon ( my overweight self) to a beautiful butterfly (myself at my healthy weight.). Once I reach my destination I will experience a sense of freedom from what has been holding me back. (Flying on my own set of wings.)

Stopping by to say emoticon and wish you much success in this weeks challenge, emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

To be successful, you have to use each day as an opportunity to improve, to be better, to get a little bit closer to your goals. It might sound like a lot of work—and with a busy schedule, next to impossible. But the best part is, the more you accomplish, the more you’ll want to do, the higher you’ll want to reach. So as long as you have the hunger for success, you will always have the power within you to achieve it.
