Introduction Text I've been slowly making lifestyle changes which have resulted in losing from high of 206 lbs. to 165lbs. But then, the bottom fell out. My Mom passed away suddenly on August 7, 2013. A terrible blow and grieving still. A medical issue that landed me in the hospital and on heavy antibiotics threw my system for a loop. I missed a lot of time at the rec center with my trainer and consequently ballooned back up to 188 lbs. Fighting through the depression by getting back to regular walking and some additional counseling. Trying to quit binge eating and get back to healthier eating. Slow process with baby steps so far. Not quite able to make a firm commitment to big changes just yet.

I want to lose weight. I want to eat healthier and better portions. I want to be able to have my picture taken without being embarrassed.

Using Spark to track calories, carbs, sodium intake, motivation and accountability. Give myself permission to stumble and pick myself up and start over as often as necessary to keep on track. Allow 3-lb. wiggle room to avoid binging.

I'm 64, divorced for many years. Two grown children (boy & girl), 3 grand-daughters.

I love to escape into a good book, Spark, play Neopets online, and keep up with friends on Facebook.
