I have joined the Summer 5% Challenge which will begin July 4th with the fireworks!!!. 8 weeks of inspiration towards the weight loss journey. It is a Race to Fascinating Places - Join a supportive team and let's have fun as we lose 5% of our weight, make new friends and improve our health! Starting date: July 4, 2020.

I live in Washington State, Port Angeles to be exact. It's at the start of the Straits of Juan de Fuca, and directly across the water from Victoria Canada. Beautiful place.

I have struggled with weight my whole life. More than once I''ve had to lose 30 pounds. It just kinda creeps up on ya uh?

My family includes my husband, myself and a Pomchi.

I have 3 daughters, as of Feb 2018 they all live on this side of the Puget Sound too. I have 6 grandchildren, ages 26, 22, 9 and 8, 4, and a 21 month old. Only the oldest is a boy, all the rest are girls!

My biggest wish was to live closer to my children and grandchildren again. We are the ones that moved away for 15 years. My wish came true, but it was hard won. On Oct 18, 2013 we had a house fire in our home in Lake Havasu, AZ. It took nine months of misery, RENTALS moves, and insurance adjustments but we moved into OUR home in Port Angeles, WA 7-18-2014. Nine months to the day of the fire.

Here''s to us ALL "positively" losing to our goal weight and then keeping our weight off!!

OH Debby even after over a year, it still tears me that I am not a part of the Dawg house, yet I've committed to being an Awesome A. I sure do wish I could talk to MaryAnn. Yet the Awesome A's, I do not think any of the Leaders are able to step up to the position and they're doing so very well. So very well.

I Know for sure that the Dawg team will absolutely come around. It's so hard when a team (or work place) has a strong lead, then things change. For the Dawg team wow has it changed, but yet, I know it'll rebound simply because those of you who have been Dawggies for a long time, you are the heart and soul of the team.

Me either. When I think of my life compared to what's happening on the news, I think I'm living a sheltered life!

We don't have any surgical masks. I have some paper disposable masks I got from Wal-Mart that are made in China. I tried those for a while and they irritated my face even before the break-out started.

My daughter is sixteen, and will be a junior this year. Not that I wanted this virus to happen at all, but I'm just glad this didn't happen when she was a senior and then trying to go off to college. She had one online course already last year, so she knew the drill. Plus she goes to a tech school (focus on academics, no extracurriculars that aren't geared toward academics), and she really likes it. She has a small circle of very good friends, and I think that helps. She is also taking two courses online during the summer (Latin and astronomy) so she doesn't get bored. She's so happy yet so scared that "we're going back to school" as she has vulnerable family and friends and doesn't want them to get sick. She checks the "count" every day and looks at charts and graphs comparisons. Last year she took Microbiology and she's very interested in all this. Smart little cookie -- she either inherited it from her father or it skipped a generation, because I sucked at school, and that is being generous. emoticon
