Introduction Text I'm 45 with 6 and 4 year old boys. They keep me hopping, but tend to lead me to emotional eating. I lost 22 pounds with NDYW in 2008, but then gained 10 of them back. I had a lot of stress last year, but am hoping to work on doing alternative things for my stress besides eating. I make a goal to lose 10% of my body weight at a time, but I have much more to lose than that. edit 3/24/10 - I've taken up running - the C25k - and what a difference it has made. Walking/running/jogging is a great way to relieve stress. I've lost my first 10%of body weight and am actually just over a quarter of the way to my goal weight. Unlike the advise that is often give to only weigh once a week though, I find I need to weigh every day or I am more likely to change my way of eating. I will think oh I have time before I weigh in to work off that extra piece of pizza (or whatever the food may be). If I know I'm eating healthy and exercising good, I don't like the slight occasional bump ups bother me. Let's get going everyone.

Eat reasonable portion sizes and get plenty of exercise.

Native Floridian - yes, they do exist. 40 something, with 2 young sons.

I like cross stitching and reading - a bit sedentary.
