Hi, My name is Candy and I am a 40 year young mother of 3 wonderful sons! I have been married to my amazing husband for 10 years and am blessed to have the important things in life. God, family, love, and peace.

I began SparkPeople at the end of June 2010 because I began to see one of my sons get very heavy fast, he began to have health issues and it scared me! I thought I am the mom and I have to do something about this. At that time my family was not drinking very much water, eating very many fruits or vegies and we eat out a lot.

Since that time we have cleaned out the cabinets & fridge and replenished them with nuts, wholegrains, reduced fat crackers, chips, and lots of fruits and vegies. We no longer buy soda and we exercise as a family regularly. Going out to eat is an occasional treat and when we do we always try to make better choices.

SP has helped me in so many ways, by their daily messages, friends that encourage and good advice everywhere on SP! I have lost 23lbs and my family has losted some as well! I am changing up my goals and my program as of today and am excited to see where that leads me and my family!

Fitness Minutes: 4,216

My Goals:
1. Eat mini meals every 2 hours

2. Increase exercise time by 10 minutes

3. Intensive exercise by adding faster pace and adding weights

4. Get on SP everyday


My Program:
Monday: Jog 3.25 miles in 40 minutes
Tuesday: S.E.T. class for 1 hour (using heavier weights)
Wednesday: Jog 3.25 miles uphill in 40 minutes
Thursday: Fit and Tone video 30 minutes
Friday: Jog 3.25 miles in 40 minutes
Saturday: S.E.T. Class 60 minutes



Personal Information:
I had 80 lbs to loose I am now down to 57 lbs! Eating right is not as hard as exercise can be when you don't feel like it! I really need to work on exercise to help my arms, hips, and boobs to go down.


Other Information:
I have read "The Spark" and it is great! My favorite part of SP is knowing that their is always someone like you and they need you as much as you need them!!!

    Hi Candy! It's your long lost Spark friend, Lynn. LOL! I have been slacking for the past 3 months so this is the first time I have been on SP since August. I had another one of my get started & then quit about a month or so into it. I have done this so many times that it really gets frustrating. Of course I am back to where I started in July plus an extra 4 lbs. Tomorrow is my 39th Birthday so I thought I'm not getting any younger to start again and hopefully be able to stick with it this time, it is just so darn hard. Congrats to you though on losing 20 lbs so far! Anyways, I just wanted to stop by and say hello.

    Good morning! Thanks for stopping by, it's always great to hear from you! Glad to hear you are doing well. I haven't had as much time to be on here since I started college, so I understand. The kids are all doing great and keeping me busy as usual. The older two are with their dad this week, so it should be pretty peaceful. I have lots of studying to do as I have finals at the end of the week. Made it to the end of my first 2 classes, yay!! I hope you have a great week!

    Thanks so much, Candy - that was such an encouraging comment on my blog. Yes, these things happen, and it has taken a long time to let go of it and actually learn from the mistake instead of keeping it on my list of permanent character flaws!

    Always believe in yourself - and celebrate the good - that includes learning from mistakes.

    Awesome job at getting back your groove after a weight gain. I love looking back at Coach Dean's blog's when that happens - gets my head back on straight.
