Nothin' but Blue Skies...
It's all positive from here on out. I've decided I'm ready to be happy, and no one can rain on my parade. :o)
No one is in control of your happiness but you; therefore, you have the power to change anything about yourself or your life that you want to change.

Happiness is the result of my decision to be happy. There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way. In other words, happiness is a feeling I tap into, not an outcome of events. I can be happy without changing anything in my life except my relationship to my own thinking. I decide to be happy and commit myself to making happiness my state of mind, rather than relying on a set of circumstances to do it for me.

A HISTORY OF GAINS
I've never been thin. I was always the biggest girl out of the "group". But in college, I refused to gain the freshmen 15 and began working out for the first time in my life. Just about the time I started to feel good about myself, gain some self confidence and a direction in life, I found myself single and pregnant. I was 20 years old and 150 pounds.
I gained nearly 50 pounds with that stress-filled pregnancy. Any weight I lost initially after having my son eventually crept back - especially after I stopped breastfeeding. I stayed at 198 for a long time - the same weight I was at 9 months pregnant - proud that I never crossed the 200 mark. (HA!)
Over the years, emotional eating took it's toll. Bouts of depression and medication, wedding stress, another baby and baby weight, a job that made me unhappy, an ectopic pregnancy and surgery, failed attempts at dieting....all lead to an all-time high weight of 215. My third pregnancy brought me to my highest weight ever: 243 at 9 months. One week after delivery, I was at 222. That's where my Spark journey begins...
I've been a member of Spark and the BLC (starting in round 4) since October 2007! I must say that although I've dieted before, I was never in the right mindset that I could actually DO it. I always fell back on the excuse that I was just "meant to be fat" or "this is just how I am". I wasn't much in love with exercise either. But I've learned so much with Spark and from the amazing ladies I've met through the BLC. Having a close network of friends that are going through the same trials helps tremendously!!

I made a batch of the White Chili last night from the recipe you posted to the Forest. It is just as you said: simple to make and delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe. I have entered it in my SP recipe box as a "keeper."
