I'm 28 years old, I've been over weight for several years now. My husband and I are really wanting to start a family but I dont want to have to worry about added pregnancy complications due to my weight. My husband is very supportive of what I want to do, but I'm pretty much in this alone. I'm hoping once I can get it down and start losing, it will motivate him to make some healthier changes as well.
This past October I received horrible news and was diagnosed with IH (Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension). I'm currently on medicine to help control the pressure on my brain but weight loss is the ultimate goal to get off my medicine. Unfortunately, I CANNOT be on this medicine and get pregnant so in order for me to have a baby, I have to get enough weight off in hopes that I won't relapse when I get pregnant....
BUT I AM ON MY WAY to acheiving my goals, I just have to take it one step at a time and all those little steps will eventually lead somewhere!

My Goals:
**Main goal: To lose 50 lbs. This is my first goal. In doing this, I hope to reach another goal: to be in remission from Intracranial Hypertension and off my medication.
**One of my other goals is to become a runner...this will take a long time to acheive but I know I can do it eventually.


My Program:
Take one day at a time and just do one thing that is will make me more active.

I love my dogs, Riley and Maggie. It is so amazing how dogs can put you in a good mood no matter what.
I love to be with family and friends, play cards, bowling, and watching movies. I use to be pretty active and love sports so I'm hoping that the more I lose, the more active I will become and I'll get back into my fav's...softball, racquetball, tennis, volleyball.

    Welcome to sparkNEBRASKA! We love having new members join. Everyweek we have a bonus. You can complete that to earn extra points for the week. Every week we weigh in on Sundays. To do this you just post your weight in the forum. We also measure in monthly. I usually do it the last day of the month. This also goes towards your points. Then the team leader figures our your score by tallying your bonus points, your weight lost for the week, your fitness minutes, and I believe (maybe) your spark points. I recommend going to the forum and reading the first few posts in the beginning. That will give you an idea on what is going on and what to do. If you have any other questions dont hesitate to email the team leader or people in the forum. Everyone in our group is great. I enjoy being a part of this sparkteam.
