As yet another year passes and I have made no progress on my journey called "Getting Healthier" and vow to do better this year I have to admit I haven't really thought too hard about the "WHY?" do you want to embark on this journey....

So here is what I have been thinking....

I am tired of my feet hurting so bad when I take a simple walk around the block that I can barely walk when I get home to accomplish anything else.

I am tired of my back hurting when I stand at the sink and do dishes or try to stand and do much of anything let alone if I have to bend to get things done.

I am tired of being afraid of falling or having to get down on the floor for something and not being able to get back up.

I am tired of not being able to buy clothes that are cute and not in a specialty store or out of a catalog because I am to large of a size.

I am tired of being out of breath when walking for any distance or playing with my grandchildren.

So I guess I am just tired! But how do I fix it?

I fix it by eating a healthier diet.... for me...

I fix it by starting to get at least ten minutes of physical activity a day.

I fix it by losing ten percent of my current weight by June 1, 2018.

I fix it by trying daily to improve myself in whatever way I possibly can. For I alone am the captain of this journey.

No more excuses.

No more negative thinking about not being able to accomplish this feat.

No more reading about everyone else's success stories and only dreaming about achieving my own.

This is a new year and I am tired of being tired. Time to find some energy and succeed down the path of being awake.

Decrease weight by 10% by June 1, 2018... starting weight.... 294
Do at least 10 minutes of exercise six days a week...
Drink at least six glasses of water a day...

My Program:
Finding what works for me.
Not giving up when hitting a lengthy plateau.
