I am 33 y/o, married, mother of one boy. I work 12 hour shifts at a local hospital as a labor and delivery nurse. I love my job. I want/need to lose and change my lifestyle by about 60-70 pounds. I love Gary Allan (country music singer,) reading, and scrapbooking. Always looking for encouraging words of wisdom.
I have been battling my weight since I graduated high school. I was never skinny, but an average size 10-12 when I graduated, and I progressively gained weight over the past 15 years and now I am bigger than I was when I delivered my son 8 years ago. My mother has battled with her weight for years, and my grandmother and Aunt also. It just seems as if I have some great cooks in my family (hehe). I love to eat, but need to learn to Eat to Live instead of Living to Eat. Here I am, ready to do some major life changing events and choices to make myself healthier and happier (I hate shopping because everything in my size is so ugly). I do not by any means want to be thin or skinny...just healthier and an average size where I can buy clothing at any store I go to. (I would love to be a size 12 or even 14). I am working towards that now!

My Goals:
I want to be focused enough to journal my food daily for one month straight...this is my very first goal. I need to discipline myself and focus on what I want.


My Program:
I have started watching my diet....switched from SIX COKES a day, to diet dr. pepper and water. (I lost 4 pounds in one week from dropping the cokes!!!) I am also going to the gym and doing 30-40 minutes of cardio 4 times a week.



Personal Information:
I live in Kentucky, a labor and delivery nurse. and married with one 9 year old boy. I have been trying to have another baby for 5 years, and think maybe if I lost some weight and got healthier I may be able to get pregnant.


Other Information:
Favorite Movies...Twilight, Meet the Parents, The Illusionist, Peggy Sue Got Married and Pulp Fiction.

Favorite Actor... Edward Norton

Favorite Singer... GARY ALLAN

Favorite Food.... Lasagna and Mom's fried chicken (I am so weak)

Favorite Author....Stephenie Meyer and Stephen King

    OMG...lol...I know! My birthday was feb 20th..and I celebrated all week PLUS SOME. I gained around 2 pounds, so I didn't even attempt to record the weight for that week..lol
    Got back on my horse and lost .6 pounds back, thank goodness.
    I used to get off track and never go back,
    but this time I did...and you can too!

    Hang in there and get going again...I'll be checkin on you to nag a little..lol

    Well, how's it going for ya? Things are good here...Sunday I ate junkfood all day and was sick sick Monday morning at 3am...so it will be a long time before I do THAT again! lol I think my body is rejecting all the crap food. I guess thats a good thing, right?!

    Well, keep me posted....I gotta find out when your weigh-day is so I can cheer you on!
