Introduction Text I have struggled with my weight and relationship with food all my life. At the time of my gastric bypass surgery in 2006, I was 360, and my frame just couldn't take it any more. I lost 210 pounds, but have been plagued with complications, resulting in a nearly fatal illness in 2010. What I have learned about health, nutrition, and the art of being happy in the past three years is nothing short of amazing. Each and every day is a blessing, even when it is a struggle.

* To make a list of goals in bullet points because it's easier to read. * To live each day presently, fully, and with as much joy as possible. * To feed my body with the best sources of energy possible to live a healthy life. * To move as much as possible and increase my happiness by exercising my body. * To nourish my soul and deepen my faith by living honestly and helping as many people as possible.

Live in the present, one day at a time. Happiness is gratitude. Love grows with sharing. Self confidence is attained by reaching out into the community to help as much as possible, and nothing in return is necessary.

Wreaking havoc all over sunny Los Angeles. Married, with cats, a few psychological complexes, entirely too many cooking gadgets, a library full of books, and more ideas than I know what to do with. Currently observing and writing about life within the strange world of television.

I like ducks entirely too much. I have a penchant for photographing my food. Raised by rabid sarcastic wolves.
