Introduction Text Im finally updating my intro.! My name is Kathleen,and Im a Mom to 5 kids,4 boys,1 Daughter all grown up. All of my 4 "boys" haved served our Country,3 in combat. I have to say I raised some pretty great kids with good principles,morals,respectful of others.Im Blessed too,to have such a wonderful Daughter,Liz,and 2 Grandson's,Nicholas who is 2 and Brady, a newborn who I helped to deliver 12/03/09!!! I live in Ohio,But raised in New England,my Parents inspired me to be the best I could,and I was capable of being anything I wanted to be.Again I was Blessed ro have wonderful Parents.I lost my Dad on 11/07/08,and Dad was buried on Veterans Day which was so fitting for Dad,He was Pro-Veteran and served in WW2 as a medic.My Mom still lives on Cape Cod,with 2 of my brothers.I lost my best friend,my brother 7/23/07 from a drug over doseI miss him so much I love baseball!! Go Red Sox.and I thank my Dad for that.Id fly to Fla. and go to spring training,while my parents spent the winter close to Fort Meyers. Sports are great! Im not overweight but my dietary habits were horrible which affected my lab work tremendously. I am ever so grateful to Spark,It has been a saving Grace for me.Ive learned new healthy habits,gained so much knowledge,but most important Ive made friends with such great people who are always here to support me on this healthy journey! I went back to college when my children were small and earned my Nursing Degree,which I believe God had it planned as now I devote all my time to care for my Son John

My goals are first and foremost to take care of my Son John, but know that I need to be well myself. I never had a weight problem but all the junk I did eat has soared my cholestrol. I need to be consistent with exercise and eating healthy

This has been difficult for me. I'm trying to stay motivated to take walks,exercise. Ive been changing my food; instead of a bag of chips, Ill go for the fruit. Even taking my B/P cholestrol meds has been challenging.

My life changed forever on 4/15/06 when my John had a car accident 4 miles from home,coming back from work

and it changed forever. My than 22 yr old Son John fell asleep at the wheel. He spent 2 years in a Nursing Home before I was finally able to get him HOME. My John recieved severe head injuries, and is unable to walk,talk,eat ect. I have a nurse 3-4 nights a week so were able to get some sleep but the rest of the time I care for John. I love him so very,very much,all my kids
