RUTHIEBEAR
During this season of Lent, I always need a reminder to focus on WHO I am living for. This song by Francesca Battiselli spoke to me this week. I hope it will minister in a meaningful way to you also.
"Write Your Story"
They say You're the King of everything The One who taught the wind to sing The Source of the rhythm my heart keeps beating
They say You can give the blind their sight And You can bring the dead to life You can be the hope my soul's been seekin'
I wanna tell You now that I believe it I wanna tell You now that I believe it I do, that You can make me new, oh
I'm an empty page I'm an open book Write Your story on my heart Come on and make Your mark
Author of my hope Maker of the stars Let me be Your work of art Won't You write Your story on my heart
Write Your story, write Your story Come on and write Your story, write Your story Won't You write Your story on my heart
My life I know it's never really been mine So do with it whatever You like I don't know what Your plan is But I know it's good, yeah
I wanna tell You now that I believe in I wanna tell You now that I believe in In You, so do what You do, oh
I want my history To be Your legacy Go ahead and show this world What You've done in me And when the music fades I want my life to say
I let You write Your story, write Your story Write Your story, write Your story
I'm an empty page I'm an open book Write Your story on my heart Come on and make Your mark
Author of my hope Maker of the stars Let me be Your work of art Won't You write Your story on my heart
Write Your story, write Your story Come on and write Your story, write Your story Won't You write Your story on my heart" [x2]

WHen things are not going our way and we are struggling, I find what I need most is to praise the Lord. The lyrics of this song help me to do that. I pray they will minister to your heart this week.

The prayer of my heart this week is found in the lyrics of a song by Hillsong. May we always seek the ways of the Lord on this journey and in life.
Show Me Your Ways Song by Hillsong Live
Show me Your ways That I may walk with You Show me Your ways I put my hope in You The cry of my heart Is to love You more To live with the Touch of Your hand Stronger each day Show me Your ways Show me Your ways That I may walk with You Show me Your ways I put my hope in You The cry of my heart Is to love You more To live with the Touch of Your hand Stronger each day Show me Your ways Show me Your ways That I may walk with You Show me Your ways I put my hope in You The cry of my heart Is to love You more To live with the Touch of Your hand Stronger each day Show me Your ways Show me Your ways That I may walk with You Show me Your ways I put my hope in You The cry of my heart Is to love You more To live with the Touch of Your hand Stronger each day Show me Your ways
If we look upward, it will be that much harder to drag us down!

No matter what the circumstances are, we have to remember that the Bible says "Give thanks in all things" Don Moen is one of my favorite Christian music artists. Here are the words to one of his songs, that I hope will minister to you this week. I sing it as a prayer.
Thank You Lord Song by Don Moen Bible says it's a good thing to give thanks to the Lord, amen I come before You today And there's just one thing that I want to say Thank You Lord Thank You Lord For all You've given to me For all the blessings I can not see Thank You Lord Thank You Lord With a greatful heart With a song of praise With an outstreched arm I will bless Your name Thank You Lord I just wanna thank You Lord Thank You Lord I just wanna thank You Lord Thank You Lord For all You've done in my life You took my darkness and gave me Your light Thank You Lord Thank You Lord You took my sin and my shame You took my sickness and healed all my pain Thank You Lord Thank You Lord With a greatful heart With a song of praise With an outstreched arm I will bless Your name

SOmetimes I feel so discouraged on this journey. I feel defeated and like I am a failure. Some days I feel so unworthy knowing I have not made the right choices. At times like those, Christian music can change my focus and lift my spirit. today I share the lyrics of a song written by Geron Davis. His wife Becky does such a touching rendition.
Mercy Saw Me- Written By Geron Davis
The years had left scars. The scars had left pain. How could he recognize me? I wasn't the same. I knew I should pay and I knew the price. For justice and law demanded my life. Yet, his tender heart heard my desperate cry. And he saw my past through merciful eyes.
Chorus: Beautiful! That's how mercy saw me; Though I was broken and so lost, mercy looked past all my faults. Justice of God saw what I had done, but mercy saw me through the Son; Not what I was, but what I could be, that's how mercy saw me.
Wherever you go, you can't go too far that his eyes of mercy can't see where you are. He loves you too much to leave you alone. You're flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone. Yet his heart cries out for your heart today. See yourself through his eyes and then you will say, you'll say:
Bridge: Sin has stolen my dignity and all my self-esteem. But I was made brand new again when mercy looked at me.
Know that when the Lord looks at YOU - in HIS eyes - You are beautiful!
